Campo del Cielo Meteorite: Iron meteorites located 1,000 kilometers northwest of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The date of the fall is estimated to be 4,200–4,700 years ago (2,200–2,700 BC). This Meteorite is the densest and heaviest one ever recovered on Earth at over 1000 tons. While already known to aboriginal inhabitants, the discovery of the meteorites weren’t officially recorded until 1576. The name Campo del Cielo means Field of Heaven.
